let go and just.. forget

"let go, and just.. forget"

Those are the so called wise advise that you will hear people around you say the moment they heard of you, losing him. What they failed to understand is that, there is no way you can heal when the pieces of your heart are still with that person who left.

How your lung failed to operate and your breath stopped, when a hint of his familiar smell appears in the middle of crowd.

The first time you heard your name roll out from his tongue, as he acknowledged your existence.

and the sob that was impossible to bear when you heard the same voice whispered your name, along with a farewell.

The butterflies that could make a whole damn zoo in your tummy  each time an effortless "I care about you" shown through his actions.

and the butterflies died, from the blaze in your heart that burns your lung when he left.

That hint of jealousy of your single friends, and the genuine happiness from your close friends the moment you introduce him, as yours.

and the face your friends make when they stumbled upon him with another woman, expecting you to be crushed by the news but you can only sigh and tell them he is free to do what he wishes to, since both of you are over.

The intense level of hurt will never cross your mind, unless you are in the situation.

When the promises and memories got abandoned as easy as one forgetting a dream  after a few seconds back to reality.

When deep inside it hurts to stop yourself from being concern over little things that shouldn't matter anymore.

When knowing that person is doing alright nowadays, tears you apart and got you conflicting between being happy for them or being furious that it proves your existence was insignificant to your first priority.

and the disgrace that you feel  when the social media dramas originally created as a platform to bicker between each other eventually became a public movie that everyone gets to watch.

and then you heard it, that one judgmental sentence from an outsider, corrupting the pureness of the love that you're holding on to

"I've told you so, they won't last long"

Stop. It is much harder than the movies portrayed it to be.

We sometimes mistook the universe's fucked up sense of humor with fate.

The unplanned encountered, right at the place you usually ordered pancake for breakfast date with him.

Let's not forget the passerby that happens to wear the same hoodie design as the one that he used to lend to you  for replacing cuddle at nights.
